Women Impressionists: Morisot, Cassatt, Gonzalès, Bracquemond

These four artists (Berthe Morisot, Mary Cassatt, Eva Gonzalès, and Marie Bracquemond) negotiated both personal challenges and the conventional ideas of acceptable behavior for women of their time period as they shaped their unique careers and artistic stiles. Now their contribution to Impressionism is showcased in a groundbreaking exhibition of more than 160 works at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco, the exclusive U.S. venue.
