San Francisco’s own hidden Disney treasure!

Last week I had the pleasure of viewing a brand new exhibition at one of San Francisco’s most beautiful treasures, our own Disneyland! It’s The Walt Disney Family Museum!  (WDFM) http://www.waltdisney.org/ Hidden in a remodeled old barracks in the Presidio, The WDFM is full of amazing art and memorabilia created and designed by Walt’s oldest daughter Diane Disney Miller. The Museum is extraordinary! There is so much to see for all ages. It chronicles Walt’s life from early on, his family, his early career, his failures, his creativity and his success with a little guy known as Mickey!!

The museum also features special exhibitions on some of the lesser known artists and animators with The Walt Disney Studios. You may not have heard of Eyvind Earle, but I KNOW you know his artwork! He was an artist with the Walt Disney Studios for  about a decade and his most famous work is on the movie feature #SleepingBeauty! The Exhibit is amazing. Eyvind’s use of color and detail and the different varieties of style from piece to piece are breathtaking.  Take the time to visit the museum and the “Awaking Beauty: The Art Of Eyvind Earle: now through January 8, 2018!
