Tater Tot Nachos!

Who doesn’t love nachos?! Well, step it up a notch and make these delicious tater tot nachos! Everyone will love this for the Big game!


  • 32 once bag of gluten-free frozen tater tots
  • 3-4 slices of bacon
  • 1/2 finely chopped onion
  • 3 cloves of minced garlic
  • 1 lb of very lean ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon of chili powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon of ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon of oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 15 once jar of gluten-free salsa con queso/cheese sauce, heated in the microwave
  • Salsa
  • Guacamole
  • Sour Cream
  • Several finely chopped green onions


  1. Prepare the tater tots using the oven method instructions on the package.
  2. While the tater tots are baking, fry the bacon until crisp.
  3. Remove and set aside to cool.
  4. Ladle out all but about 1 tablespoon of the bacon grease.
  5. Add the onion and garlic to the frying pan and cook over medium heat until softened.
  6. Add the beef and stir to mix.
  7. Once the beef is no longer pink, add the chili powder, paprika, oregano, cumin, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  8. Stir to incorporate and then cook several additional minutes until the flavors have melded and the meat is cooked through.
  9. Once the tater tots have finished baking, transfer to a large platter or plates.
  10. Top with seasoned beef, salsa con queso, salsa, guacamole, sour cream, and green onions.
  11. Crumble the bacon over the top and serve immediately.
