What to do This Weekend

By 965koit on April 6, 2018

Saturday:

Worried about flooding in your neighborhood? Grab some free sand bags at the Public Works’ operations yard. You can find them at Marin/Kansas from 8am to 2pm Monday-Saturday. Also use this chance to review your emergency kit and switch out the batteries in your flashlight.

11th Annual DogFest: Come and watch dogs compete for Best Trick, Best Costume, Best Ears, Best Bark and more. All the donations go to SFUSD McKinley Elementary School. There will also be an auction, food, carnival games, a half-time show and face painting. It will be held from 11am to 4pm at Duboce Park in San Francisco. (Weather permitting)

FREE Ice Cream Tasting: Head down to Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates from 10am to 2pm and sample some ice cream! They’re launching their 2018 summer ice cream menu and would love you input.

Sunday:

Rock ‘n Roll San Francisco Half Marathon: The start will be next to Pier 39 and runners will head across the Golden Gate Bridge and a new finish next to Ghirardelli Square, right in the heart of Fisherman’s Wharf. There will also be vendors showing off running gear and food samples. The race begins at 6:15a so go cheer on your friends!
