Don’t Miss the Earth Day Meteor Shower!

There is going to be a meteor shower for Earth Day!

It will start after midnight on Sunday and continue into the early morning. At it’s peak, people will be able to see between 15 and 20 meteors per hour. 

The best way to see it is out of town, where there is less light pollution.

The Lyrid meteor shower is one of the oldest meteor showers on record with people reporting this one all the way back to 687 B.C. The debris field comes from the Comet Thatcher, which orbits the Sun once every 415 years.
