A Night At The Opera: Turandot

By 965koit on September 19, 2017

Kristen and I attended San Francisco Operas’ performance of Turandot last week and loved it! I’m brand new to the opera scene so Im seeing all of these operas for the first time and they keep getting better and better. I really enjoyed the colors of this opera, which is a weird thing to say, but there were very bold sets and bright costumes that just pop on stage. The singing of course was beautiful and still shocks me that they can fill the entire theater with their voices without microphones. The music is so perfectly synced that you forget that there is a live orchestra in front of the stage interpretting what the actors are doing. Its a cool experience and if you haven’t seen an opera ever or in a while then you must check out the next one happening soon. San Francisco opera will be performing Verdi’s La Traviata next month and we will be attending on October 6th. To win tickets to see it with us just listen to 96.5 KOIT in the morning!
