A Night At The San Francisco Opera

Kristen and I are becoming quite the Opera fanatics! We spent another night at the Opera last Friday when we watched Verdis’ La Traviata at the San Francisco Opera. So far we have seen 3 different operas this year and I have to say, musically this one was my favorite. The music in this opera seemed to play a much bigger part of the story than the previous 2. While the music was beautiful in Turandot and La Boheme it wasn’t used in the same way that the music in La Traviata was. The actors seemed to in sync with the orchestra note for note and it really took the opera to the next level for me.

Once again the actors voices are stunning and beautiful, I don’t know how they find these amazing singers but they are fantastic. The sets were extremely well done and everything else around them falls away when you watch the actors perform. This one even had a Spanish dance routine which was a first for me. If I could have parties like they had parties then I would have way more friends! Over all it was another great performance by the San Francisco opera! I can’t wait to see what the next one will be.
