Arizona Senator John McCain has Passed Away at Age 81

Senator John McCain passed away Saturday afternoon at the age of 81 after a year long battle with brain cancer.
McCain lived an extraordinary life. He was the son and grandson of naval admirals, and was a naval pilot himself.
In 1967, McCain’s plane was shot down and he was captured. He was tortured for more than five years as a prisoner of war.
He was also the 2008 Republican Presidential Candidate.
His office released the following statement: “Senator John Sidney McCain III died at 4:28 pm on August 25, 2018. With the Senator when he passed were his wife Cindy and their family. At his death, he had served the United States of America faithfully for sixty years.”
