Cinderella Loses BOTH Slippers

Yesterday morning after getting off BART, the usual mass of people headed for the escalator. I couldn’t help but notice the woman in front of me wearing 4.75 inch Christian Louboutin shoes. I know these red bottomed pumps…they cost nearly $700 and have always been out of my budget. My first thought was, why in Heaven’s name would you wear those stunning shoes while maneuvering public transportation? Clearly they are meant for a night when BART and walking is not in the equation…certainly she should know that. No sooner had that thought crossed my mind when the woman actually started to walk up the escalator. She was followed by many others, then, a split second later, the moving stairs came to an abrupt stop, people nearly falling and many screaming. After we all got a hold of ourselves, we walked up the escalator only to find this sad sight…

Luckily no one was hurt, including the woman wearing the shoes.  I’m sure her ego was dented a but not as much as her wallet. How much will it cost to fix the escalator?  And finally…did someone salvage the shoes? I wear a 9…just sayin.
