Earthquake Emergency Checklist

By 965koit on July 8, 2019

We are all a little on edge here in the Bay because of the earthquakes that have been happening in Southern California. The first thing I realized after the first earthquake hit was that I am 100% NOT prepared. If a earthquake took out our power or water we would be stuck eating whatever we had in the house that didn’t spoil. Now with an infant, we have decided that being prepared is no longer an option. It’s something we have to do because it’s not just us we have to worry about anymore.

If you found yourself in the same position as me then you may want to copy this list of things you should have ready in case of an emergency.

  • Water
  • Non-perishable food
  • Presciption medication
  • First Aid Kit
  • Baby supplies (diapers, cream, baby food, baby wipes, bottles, change of clothes)
  • Pet supplies (food, chew toy, blanket, cage,)
  • Bleach
  • Eye dropper
  • Blankets
  • Sleeping bags
  • Eye protection glasses
  • Change of clothes
  • Hygiene products (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant)
  • Towels
  • Bucket
  • Tent
  • Dust mask
  • Work gloves
  • Flashlights
  • Batteries
  • Matches
  • Glow sticks
  • A Swiss Army knife
  • Rope
  • Duct Tape
  • Can opener

These are just some of the items that you can put away in a safe place that will be easy to access on the way out of your house.
