Since PG&E has started with phase two of the de-energizing, a lot of people are wondering, how will I know if I’m going to be affected?

The utility says that they will be able to text you with up to date information about your area, but you have to enroll first.

To do that, text 976-33 with the word “enroll.” PG&E will immediately send you prompts to follow. For example, you’ll be asked to type in your zip code. Then you’ll receive confirmation that you’re set up for alerts.
