Ice Cream That Tastes Like Thanksgiving

By Hope Bidegainberry on November 14, 2017

Yup! That’s a thing now. A creamery in Oregon named Salt & Straw has released 5 new ice cream flavors that will make it feel like there is a Thanksgiving explosion in your mouth. I’ll admit, a couple of these sound like they would be pretty tasty but I draw the line at bits of turkey skin mixed in. Which one of these would you try?

Buttered Mashed Potatoes & Gravy – Made with real mashed potatoes that are boiled down until they turn into sugar and then that add some gravy fudge.

Apple Cranberry Stuffing – Pretty much what it sounds like.

Salted Caramel Thanksgiving Turkey – They take Turkey stock and mix it with a bunch of things like onions and sugar which is used to make the caramel ice cream. Then they crisp up some turkey skin and candy coat it.

Spiced Goat Cheese & Pumpkin Pie – Goat cheese ice cream (obviously) mixed with pumpkin pie and bits of actual pumpkin

Sweet Potato Casserole with Maple Pecans – Kind of the same technique with the regular potatoes, they boil them down until the starch becomes sugar and then they add in other flavors and some pecans.
