Kristen’s baby book club

By 965koit on September 20, 2019

When the thumb goes into the mouth, that means it’s time for mommy to put the baby on her knee and pull out a book.

It’s time for another episode of Kristen’s baby book club!

I love to read to Lilly. I’ve been doing it since we took her home from the hospital. The crazy thing is, she seems to really enjoy it! I know she doesn’t understand yet, but she loves the rhythm of your voice and all the colorful pictures.

Which is why I choose this book.

It’s called Grandma Wishes, by Julia Lobo. You can check it out here.

My mom bought this book for Lilly, but it’s only $7 on amazon. For under $10, you get a sweet, board book with a lovely little message and bright colorful pictures. It’s about a grandma owl who wishes on the grandma star to have her grandchild be a happy, healthy baby.

Even though I’m not Lilly’s grandma, she still pulls this off the bookshelf. Every page is decorated in bright colors and feature friendly looking animals with big eyes. And we all know that babies are suckers for things with big eyes!

Lilly sits contently on my lap, sucking her thumb as I read every page. When I’m done, she likes to play with the sparkly star on the front cover.

It’s sugary-sweet and a great gift from a grandma. If you are looking for a present for your grandchild, I would recommend this book.

What books should I check out or review? I would love to hear your thoughts! Leave a comment on our Facebook page.
