Lilly’s very first Halloween costume

Lilly will be celebrating her first-ever Halloween on Thursday!

Since she is only 10-months old, we got to pick her very first Halloween costume. Nick and I racked our brains over this. Should it be timely? Should it be funny? Should it be over the top?

After much deliberation, we decided that we wanted to go classic and so we opted for the very traditional Halloween pumpkin costume.

We bought her the costume, which turned out to be much too big on her, but she was delighted to wear it nonetheless.

But unfortunately for her, her daddy is a professional photographer, so we had to do a little fall photoshoot with our favorite pumpkin in the patch.

We grabbed some of the fall decorations around the house, hung a blanket on the wall, and created a mini scene for her. The results were pretty adorable.

We did everything that we could to make Lilly smile, but she was not in the mood to pose.

Finally, it took a haunting rendition of the ABC song to get her to smile, and Nick snapped away, grabbing the perfect little Halloween pumpkin picture.
