If you have been on social media lately, then you know about Disney Plus. It is all my friends have been talking about and I am assuming your friends are as well. The big thing that I’ve been waiting to see has been The Mandalorian which takes place in the Star Wars universe. If you are reading this article, you probably already knew that but I thought I’d be inclusive.

The first thing I did when I got home was kiss baby Lilly hello, then as soon as she went down for her nap I jumped on Disney+ and hit play. For those of you that don’t want any spoilers, here is my quick spoiler free review:

Dude! It’s pretty awesome. Love the action and the characters and I can’t wait to see where this goes! If you like Star Wars you should totally watch it.

If you have already seen it or don’t mind spoilers, then I’ll give you my review after I show you a picture of me standing on the Millennium Falcon. For those of you that don’t want spoilers, you should stop reading. Then, after you watch the show, come on back and we’ll talk more!

Alright! You made it. Let’s talk about stuff! Like, did you see Boba Fett?!

…..

….

Ok, now if you’re reading this and didn’t want spoilers it’s your fault. I did my best. HOLY CRAP! A baby YODA! I literally squealed when I saw it. I was expecting it to be a baby but I was completely shocked to see it was a baby…ummm… unknown species? Yeah, there is no history on Yoda. I’m pretty sure there is only a handful of others like him in legends or canon. For that I give John Favreau a standing ovation. Well done.

Overall, I think the show is off to a great start. I’m invested and I want to know more. Which is all you can hope for from a pilot episode. The Mandalorian seems like a cool character and is obviously on a personal mission that requires a lot of money or the metal (known as beskar) he used to build his new armor.

I love the IG-11 unit they introduced and I was hoping to see more of him. For a second I thought this was going to turn into a buddy cop show with him and his sassy droid. Obviously, that didn’t happen.

The underground Mandalorian village was cool, and I can’t wait to dive more into the culture and history because it’s super interesting. The internet is going crazy over the possible appearance of Boba Fett in that scene as well. For a second, in the darkness you can see somewhere wearing armor that looks A LOT like Boba Fett. It’s definitely something that wouldn’t have been done by accident. If they didn’t want us to think it was him, then they would have stayed away from his style completely. So why did they do it and what could it mean?

If you remember, Boba Fett is supposed to have died in the Sarlacc pic in Return of the Jedi. If you are seeing him in this show it means that he lived. Or at least his armor did. In Star Wars legends, he survives by using his jet pack but that’s never been confirmed in canon. What will this mean?! I’m sure we are going to find out.

Each episode is going to be released on Friday which both infuriates and pleases me. I like the anticipation of waiting to see what happens, and at the same time want to just BINGE IT ALL RIGHT NOW! Patience young padawans.
