Oakland Animal Services: Balto

Hi, I’m Balto! I’m a young, goofy Husky who loves to run around and play chase. I can seem a little aloof at first, but that’s just because there are so many exciting things to smell and look at in the yard. After I get some zoomies out, I’m happy to sit for chest scratches for a while before I zip off again.

My favorite thing to play with is water, especially the kiddie pool. Splashing around is so much fun!

I’m super gentle when I take treats! One after the other, I’ll take them as delicately as possible considering my size! So feel free to spoil me!

I like to take the lead but when you’re ready to take charge, I’ll let you be the boss!

I’d be happiest with an active family who can help me channel my youthful energy into fun, outdoor adventures and maybe even take me to dog school so I can become the best boy I can be.
