Oakland Mayor, Libby Schaaf, made good on her bet with Toronto Mayor, John Tory, after the Warriors lost to the Raptors in the Finals.
The deal was if the Warriors lost, Schaaf would send over products from Oakland based companies like Everett and Jones, Oaklandish, Red Bay Cafe, and Old Kan Beer.
If the Raptors were defeated, Tory wagered a case of Canadian and one of Toronto’s famous bacon sandwiches.
Today we did good on our bet with Toronto mayor @johntory. With the help of local businesses we will be sending him some of Oakland’s finest! Our #charitychallenge was a success and now @aacfb and @sfmfoodbank will be able to provide 45,000 meals to those in need. pic.twitter.com/9TkbN8Jrc4
