Pet of the Week: Makhmal

By Hope Bidegainberry on May 3, 2018

Teeny tiny Makhmal is a very friendly and endearing female rabbit.  Weighing less than four pounds, this soft as velvet Dwarf rabbit is the perfect pet for someone seeking a quiet animal companion.  No barking or meowing late at night with Makhmal, she’s quiet as a church mouse….or rabbit in her case.  Makhmal will need to be an indoor only pet and will require some special habitat needs, which can be further explained to potential adopters.  Also her adoption fee is waived through the month of May. Ask for Makhmal ID# A838295.

Other adoptable pets are available at Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA’s Tom and Annette Lantos Center for Compassion, 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame. The shelter is open for adoptions weekdays 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and weekends 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Potential adopters should arrive at least an hour before closing time to complete an adoption.
