PG&E to move forward with another round of outages beginning Tuesday

PG&E has confirmed Monday night that it will be shutting down power in the Bay Area beginning Tuesday which can potentially effect up to 600,000 customers.  A much anticipated wind event will be moving through the Bay Tuesday into Wednesday evening.  Approximately portions of 29 counties will be without power including these Bay Area counties:  Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin,  Napa,  San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma.  Portions of Santa Cruz will also be impacted.  The counties in the Bay are expected to experience this new outage “very early” on Wednesday.

 

PG&E  also added that it is possible , “some customers who are currently out of power may remain out throughout the duration of the next potential PSPS event.”
