Robin Williams Memorabilia To Be Auctioned

By 965koit on September 11, 2018

If you have always wanted a little piece of Robin Williams in your home then this auction is for you. Sotheby’s is auctioning off Robin and Marsha William’s personal collection of art and movie memorabilia called Creating A Stage: The Collection of Marsha and Robin Williams.

Some of the things you can buy include:
-Golden Globes from Good Morning Vietnam, Mrs. Doubtfire, Aladdin, and The Fisher King
-The watch he wore in Dead Poet’s Society
-His sword and sheath from Hook
-A watercolor painting that hung in his office from Good Will Hunting
-The shirt that he wore when he sang “Blame Canada” at the 2000 Oscars. (From the South Park movie)
An interesting story is coming out of this as well. Robin was a huge fan of Harry Potter and campaigned to be in one of the movies but was turned down repeatedly. It was to be an only British cast and they wanted to keep it that way no matter what Robin did. Daniel Radcliff, who plays Harry Potter, was a big fan of Robins and heard about his love for the books and movies. So he has donated the Gryffindor robe he wore in the movies to the auction in honor of Robin.
The money will be donated to various charities including the Wounded Warrior campaign and the Dana and Christopher Reeve Foundation.
