             Milpitas Animal Community Center

901 Ames Ave., Milpitas, CA 95035

Why: This January, you can save patients and pets. As part of their Give Good initiative, for every person that donates blood in January, Stanford Blood Center will make a financial contribution to Humane Society Silicon Valley. HSSV will, in turn, use this to provide vaccinations and other medical care to shelter animals.

The Stanford Blood Drive is going on throughout the month of January. Those wishing to donate can schedule an appointment online at www.SBCDONOR.org and enter sponsor code 2393.

Those who join HSSV for their special onsite blood drive event on Saturday January 19th will not only be helping to save pet and people’s lives, but they’ll also have the chance to visit and possibly adopt one of the many homeless pets at the Milpitas Animal Community Center!

Humane Society Silicon Valley has been serving people and pets in Silicon Valley for over 90 years. Having facilitated more than half a million animal adoptions, HSSV is leading the charge for animal welfare. They are committed to saving homeless pets and transforming human lives at the local, regional, and national levels by:

·         Leading the practice of shelter medicine to ensure quality care for shelter animals.

·         Collaborating with rescue partners in the area and throughout California.

·         Supporting community pets and people through programs and services.

HSSV is the first organization ever to meet the model shelter standard-of-care guidelines put forth by the Association of Shelter Veterinarians.
