Lionel Richie reflects on memorable moments with “living legend” Tina Turner

"When I think of my dear friend Tina, I think of determination, strength, and an incredible work ethic," Lionel tells Vogue. "There are performers, there are singers and there are entertainers. Tina is all three." The "Hello" singer recalls Tina opening up for him on his Can't Slow Down world tour in 1984, following the release of her comeback album Private Dancer. "I remember her walking into the rehearsal. She was very quiet, almost shy, with this amazing smile and personality," Lionel remembers. "Then the music started and she turned into Tina Turner -- to the point where I couldn't perform. I would just sit and watch what she was doing." Lionel said being on stage with Tina "was the most incredible feeling of my entire life." Like many, he said he was mesmerized by Tina's "singing, her performance, [and] her energy." "From the moment, she stepped on stage with me during her comeback...to recording 'We Are the World,' to the time she took me on her Twenty Four Seven tour after I took a break, we have shared moments in history that I will never forget," he gushes. "My friend is a star and a living legend. A one-of-a-kind spirit that the world is blessed to have." Tina is currently nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist, having already been inducted as part of Ike & Tina Turner. Tiffany to release new single, “Hey Baby,” as vinyl picture disc later this month

The release also will feature <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmeJ2VsCs-0" target="_blank">an updated version</a> of Tiffany's chart-topping 1987 cover of Tommy James and the Shondells' 1967 hit "I Think We're Alone Now" that she re-recorded in 2019. The picture disc, which is pressed on blue vinyl, features Tiffany's name in white script lettering on one side. Taylor Swift releases another From the Vault track, “Mr. Perfectly Fine”

The singer dropped <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://taylor.lnk.to/MPF" target="_blank">“Mr. Perfectly Fine,”</a> a song she wrote back in 2008 that will appear as one of the never-before-released From the Vault tracks on her upcoming rerecorded version of Fearless. <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://twitter.com/taylorswift13/status/1379783234242940930" target="_blank">In a tweet</a> Wednesday, Taylor referenced how the song shows just how much her music has changed over the years. “Me in 2020: life is chill, writing songs based in fiction to avoid drama, feeling pretty grown up,” she wrote. “My 2008 music from the vault, in a goblin voice: ‘REELEEEEEEASE MR PERFECTLY FIIIIIIINE.’” On the track, Taylor sings about a self-absorbed ex who has moved on with someone new. During the bizarre promo, she also says she'll never work out in exercise-appropriate footwear because, quote, "Sneakers sound disgusting!" That one shot sparked a recurring joke that has lasted decades, in which Mariah poses or share videos of herself burning calories while wearing ultra-expensive high heels. Although all four are faced away from the camera as they hold hands, they are all wearing matching pink and white sundresses. "Girls just wanna have fun," the three-time Grammy winner professed in the simple caption and also threw in the nail painting emoji, which has adopted a modern meaning of indifference or sass. Adam accessorizes his outfit with a pair of baby blue shoes. The gesture drew applause from Levine's nearly 13 million followers. Many praised the "Girls Like You" rocker for embracing his status as a "#GirlDad" while others commented on how Levine's daughters must have loved being able to rock matching outfits with their father. In addition, actor Channing Tatum, who recently opened up about connecting with his young daughter by allowing her to paint his nails or dress him up, liked the photo. That's why he's was happy to appear in <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvxtPm4OGJ4&t=1397s" target="_blank">Dancing with the Devil</a>, a new docuseries that follows Demi Lovato's recovery following her near-fatal 2018 drug overdose. Elton is featured in the fourth and final episode of the multi-part series, <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvxtPm4OGJ4&t=1397s" target="_blank">which is streaming now on YouTube</a>. Throughout the series, Demi frankly discusses her trauma, including substance abuse, sexual assault, eating disorders, depression and more. Elton's a fan of Demi's: He invited her to sing "<a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=og-dQBpNmC0" target="_blank">Don't Go Breaking My Heart</a>" onstage with him in 2016, and she later covered that song on Revamp, the all-star 2018 Elton tribute album. "But of course we're not perfect, we're all human beings. She's human and she's adorable and she's brave." Set to what seems to be a remix of Gaga's Chromatica song "Free Woman," the clip features Gaga in a variety of over-the-top fabulous outfits, hairstyles and headdresses, and a nail set so long she could serve shish kebab on them. One Gaga incarnation gazes into a crystal ball, where a smaller Gaga is walking through various kaleidoscopic settings of different colors. She's shown holding a massive bottle of the brand's rosé Champagne, as well as a glass of it; in one scene, she's surrounded by laughing party guests also holding glasses of rosé. Angular shadows of people flicker on the wall, and they're holding glasses too. At the end, we're back to Gaga looking into a crystal ball, except it's morphed into a bottle of Dom, and the spot ends with the slogan "Creative Freedom Is Power."
