PCH Is FINALLY Open Again!

Perhaps one of the most iconic highways in America, the Pacific Coast Highway, is finally back open after a year. Last year a huge mudslide wiped out a portion of the road near the Big Sur region and it has been shut down ever since. That forced drivers to seek an alternate route around the area which really affected the nearby businesses.
It was one of the biggest landslides in the history of the PCH. It moved about 6 million cubic yards of earth and created 15 new acres of coastline. The largest landslide previously happened in 1983.
Now the entire Pacific Coast Highway (Highway 1) is available to cruise once again. And it’s Summer so the timing couldn’t be better. My recommendation? Go rent a 1957 Chevy Corvette convertible and hit the open road!
