Watch Pentatonix throw a non-stop ’90s dance party
Pentatonix/RCA RecordsWe spent 2020 dancing to Dua Lipa's album Future Nostalgia. Now, Pentatonix is throwing it back to the '90s, with a club-tastic medley that's the perfect soundtrack for a six-minute dance party.

Watch Maren Morris get in “The Middle” of some mac ‘n cheese & her Spotify awards plaque
Rachel Murray/Getty Images for TargetBecause they're silver and concave, the plaques that Spotify gives to artists for racking up one billion streams of one of their tracks have inspired some musicians to turn them into dinner plates. Now Maren Morris is jumping on that bandwagon.
On her socials, Maren wrote, "Said I'd do it," alongside a black-and-white video of herself cooking mac 'n cheese, dumping it on her plaque, and eating it while wearing a fancy dress.
"thanks for a billion streams on The Middle, y’all," she wrote, referring to her Grammy-nominated smash hit with Zedd and Grey. "And thank you @spotify for the multi-purpose plaque."
"The Middle," released in 2018, was a top-five hit on the Billboard Hot 100 and was nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the Grammys in 2019.
In 2018, Taylor Swift invited Maren to join her onstage to perform "The Middle" during the Arlington, TX stop of her Reputation Stadium Tour. Maren can currently be heard singing on the song "You All Over Me" on Taylor's newly released Fearless (Taylor's Version) album project.

Josh Groban admits his “Bean Song” is “very WTF” but “so much fun”
Bush's BeansEarlier this week, Josh Groban released the supremely bizarre yet hilarious "Bean Song," as part of a Bush's Beans ad campaign. In the song, he sings passionately about his love for beans, how healthful they are, and why they get a bad rap. Now, he's explaining what possessed him to do this.
Noting that he's often been asked to do commercials but has been wary of doing stuff that felt "phony," Josh tells Billboard that he didn't say yes immediately when Bush's Beans approached him. But he reconsidered because he's an avid bean fan.
"I’ve loved beans my whole life and I’m pretty much a vegetarian, and I did used to get made fun of for just having beans at the barbecue," he tells Billboard.
He adds, "I just kind of sat at my piano for a few days, and I said to myself, ‘No pressure. If you can’t think of anything, just say thank you but no thanks and move on.’ Then, this song just kind of sprouted. I went back to them and I said, ‘I think we have something, but it’s really weird and it’s funny and is it OK?'"
"They’re like, ‘We’re all about it,’" Josh recalls. "They went with me on this weird journey and it turned into something that on paper, it’s very WTF, but in reality, so much fun to do."
Josh is also thrilled he got his father to appear briefly in the song's video, standing at a grill as Josh sings about how great beans are at a barbecue.
As he tells Billboard, "He’s so shy and it was like, if I could get my dad barbecuing...this video, even just for a second, it will be the best Easter egg ever."

Matchbox Twenty’s NFT auction raises nearly $75,000 for charity
Randall SlavinMatchbox Twenty's first foray into the world of NFTs -- the new technology that allows people to own a unique piece of digital content -- has worked out pretty well.
The band's first NFT offering, which included the rights to high-res digital images of the original lyric sheets for their hit song, "Unwell," was sold for $24,000, proceeds from which went to the charities RADical Hope and The Trevor Project. Then, a donor kicked in an additional $50,000 directly to RADical Hope in support of the whole project.
RADical Hope addresses America's youth mental health crisis, while The Trevor Project is the world's largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ youth.
During a conversation about the NFT auction on the app Clubhouse last Thursday night, Matchbox Twenty frontman Rob Thomas, who wrote "Unwell," spoke about why he wanted to tie the song to the current state of mental health in the country.
"What we're really talking about is the mental health of our future generations," Rob said. "Who we're going to be ten years from now depends on how we treat people now, and I think the Trevor Project and RADical Hope are pinpointing a huge group that we might lose if we don't let them know how special they are and how normal they are."
"Unwell," a top-ten hit in 2003, was recently interpolated by superstar DJ and producer Steve Aoki for a new song called "Used to Be," featuring vocals by Kiiara and Wiz Khalifa. A new acoustic version incorporates Rob's vocals as well.

Watch Kelly Clarkson prove yet again that she’s the Queen of TMI
Weiss Eubanks/NBCUniversalIf you ever doubted that Kelly Clarkson has absolutely no filter, she just proved it once again on her talk show on Thursday, where she shared an incident that should be in the dictionary next to the phrase "TMI."
Kelly was interviewing country music star Clint Black, who shared that in an upcoming episode of his own talk show, fellow country star Sara Evans relates a story about how she once had to pee onstage. "How many of us haven't peed on stage?" Clint joked.
That inspired Kelly to share a story about a similar incident that happened to her, but as she put it, "It wasn't pee, my friend."
"I got some kinda wrecked up from some kinda food and I literally, we were in an arena, and I shouldn't tell this story, but like I said my man, I don't have a filter," Kelly began.
"I had to RUUUUUUUN backstage to my quick-change," she continued. "I grabbed this poor trash can, and boy, I destroyed it. It was bad! It was bad, Clint!"
As the audience laughed, Kelly noted, "We might have to edit this out, but I'm just sayin', it happens. What are you supposed to do?"
Don't worry, Kelly: That's why we love you. We think.

Taylor Swift’s ‘Fearless (Taylor’s Version)’ Is Here: Five Fascinating Facts
Beth GarrabrantTaylor Swift’s hotly anticipated re-recording of her 2008 album, Fearless (Taylor’s Version), arrives April 9. Here are five fascinating facts about the project:
5. Taylor is re-recording her albums because she was famously unable to buy back the master recordings of her first six albums from her former record label. The ownership of those masters then changed hands several times, but after failing to reach a deal, Taylor decided to simply re-record the albums. By offering fans new versions of those songs, she's literally taking money out of the pockets of the executives who now have the rights to her work.
4. Fearless (Taylor’s Version) features 27 tracks: Re-recordings of the original album’s 13 songs, six songs from the Fearless Platinum Edition, the movie soundtrack-only song "Today Was a Fairy Tale," six never-before-released “From the Vault” songs, and a remix of "Love Story (Taylor's Version)."
3. Taylor had her original duet partner on the song "Breathe," Colbie Caillat, return to re-record that song for the project. She also invited her country superstar friends Maren Morris and Keith Urban to add vocals to a few of the “From the Vault” songs. She plans to add "From the Vault" extras to all of her re-recorded albums.
2. The original version of Fearless has sold more than 10 million copies since its release in 2008. It features the hits "Love Story," "You Belong With Me," "Fifteen" and "White Horse."
1. Fearless was named Album of the Year at the 2010 Grammy Awards, making Taylor, at age 20, the youngest artist ever to win that award. Her record stood until 2020, when 18-year-old Billie Eilish broke it with her album WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?
You cracked the codes and guessed all the From The Vault titles. 👏👏👏 Here’s the full track list, my friends. pic.twitter.com/lC3awlRmm2

Has Lionel Richie ever made love to his own songs? Luke Bryan says “One million percent!”
ABC/Eric McCandlessA few weeks ago, Lionel Richie appeared on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and Jimmy asked the famed balladeer if he'd ever made love to one of his own songs, with Lionel answering "Not that I can recall." Jimmy wasn't satisfied with the answer, so when fellow American Idol judge Luke Bryan appeared on the show Wednesday night, he sought a second opinion.
"I asked Lionel, 'Have you ever made love to one of your songs?' and he dodged the question a little bit," Jimmy told Luke.
"There's no way he hasn't!" Luke responded.
"He says he doesn't remember, but I know! Even I have made love to one his songs," Jimmy replied.
"Everybody has!" Luke insisted.
Jimmy said, "I guess, yeah, so what I wanted to ask you is, do you think Lionel has made love to one of his songs?"
"One million percent [yes]," shot back Luke.
"A million percent?" said Jimmy.
"That may even be a low percentage," Luke insisted, as the audience laughed.
"Have you made love to one of your songs?" Jimmy then asked Luke.
After stuttering and stammering for a minute, Luke said, "Well..." and then added, "Just let me get back home!"
Hmm. We say the answer to that is also "one million percent."

Watch Cher fight to save Kavaan in the first look at new doc ‘Cher & the Loneliest Elephant’
ZoobsThe first trailer for Cher's upcoming Smithsonian Channel documentary Cher & the Loneliest Elephant has arrived.
In the clip, Cher recalls first meeting with Kaavan, the elephant who's been kept in chains for nearly 20 years in a run-down zoo in Pakistan. "He was shackled; he was suffering," Cher says.
Since the death of the zoo's only other elephant, Kavaan also didn't have any company, which led to him suffering from depression, psychosis and obesity. "Elephants are just like we are. They're so family-oriented and emotional," Cher says. "And so I wanted to free him."
"What does it take to relocate a five-ton elephant across the entire continent of Asia?" she asks.
The documentary follows the music legend as she and her newly-launched charity Free the Wild work with an international rescue organization called Four Paws to receive permission to move Kavaan to a wildlife sanctuary in Cambodia, and then work out all the logistics. In November of 2020, the journey began.
"We just didn't stop fighting," Cher says.
The documentary launches on Earth Day, April 22, on Paramount+, and will then premiere on the Smithsonian Channel on May 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Here’s who gave Jennifer Lopez the iconic nickname “J.Lo”
Carlos Alvarez/Getty ImagesBelieve it or not, Jennifer Lopez isn't the one who came up with her now-iconic nickname "J.Lo."
In an upcoming issue of InStyle the 51-year-old revealed that the moniker was given to her by late rapper and record executive Heavy D while she was working on her first studio album, On The 6, which was released in June of, 1999.
"The name J.Lo came from Heavy D," she explained. "He used to come by the studio for my first album and would call me Jenny-Lo, Jennifer-Lo, or J.Lo."
However, Jennifer believes that the nickname really caught on after she made it the name of her second album.
"When I was doing my second album, I decided to call it J.Lo and I believe that's when it really stuck!" she said.
In the same interview, Jennifer's ex-husband Marc Anthony, the father of her twins Max and Emme, praises his former wife to the skies.
"The thing about Jennifer is her ability to see and understand things before they happen. Before she even brings an idea up, she has visualized it a thousand times. And if anyone says it might not be the greatest idea, she'll say, 'You just don't see it yet,'" he says. "Nine times out of 10, she'll nail it."
Marc also describes Jen as "the first one in the room and the last to leave," as well as "the hardest worker I've ever met."
"When we were together, it was quite the opposite for me. That has changed since," he adds. "I learned so much from her. She's the original!"
