Making Strides Walk Of Silicon Valley

By 965koit on October 31, 2018

Last Saturday was the American Cancer Societies Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk of Silicon Valley and roughly 14,000 people were in attendance. It was the perfect day for a walk in downtown San Jose, the sun was shining, the temperature was perfect and there was a LOT of pink. Everyone showed up to support and remember loved ones that have battled with cancer wearing their brightest pink shirts and accessories.

The band Steel Horse took to the stage at 8am and got everyone warmed up for the walk! Myself and Azenith Smith from KTVU Fox 2 were honored to come out and host the opening ceremonies. This was my second year hosting and it never fails to surprise me how nice everyone is to each other. It’s a big crowd of great people who have bonded over their battles and you can feel the positivity and love in the air. Thousands of smiling faces wearing bright pink jerseys, capes, wigs and more all in one place!

Thank you to everyone that came out and supported this cause and thank you to the American Cancer Society for letting me be a part of it again.
