I found out why I have sciatica!

I’ve been having back problems for a long time.  No matter what I do.  Stretches  and exercise to keep it loose helps but lately it’s been progressing.  I told my massage therapist that it felt my spine was so compressed and she suggested I go to a spinal decompression clinic.  I looked up quite a few places and narrowed it down to a place in San Mateo.  I met with my doctor and he suggested I get an MRI done so he can see the health of my discs.  He asked me plenty of questions and did an exam.  He could see that my right hip was “twisted” and my spine was not aligned.  I described my pain and that I had sciatica and it is progressively getting worse.  It was throbbing a few weeks ago and I was afraid to even move.  Aside from me freaking out at the MRI clinic lol everything went fine lol.

I returned to my doctor in a few days and we went over the MRI together.  He said that I have 2 herniated discs in my lower back which is pinching nerves and causing sciatica and other back pain.  He started me on a pretty intense spinal decompression treatment plan.  I will be receiving treatment 3 times a week for 8 weeks along with 24 EMS and ICE, 8 treatments of deep tissue cold laser therapy, chiropractic adjustments and also a rehabilitation program.

I can’t wait to get further in to my treatment plan.  I had one session today and I did feel some relief but I’ve got a long way to go.  I’ll keep you all updated as it happens.  In the mean time, I will try and get some rest.
