The time I got to light the tree at Winterfest at California’s Great America

I always wanted to do a tree lighting event when I actually got to turn on the tree! It happened last year at Winterfest at California’s Great America. I was beyond excited when I was told I was going to get to light the tree. We were at Dinner with Santa Snoopy when I got the news that I would have this opportunity to share with the guests of Winterfest that night. I really didn’t know what it would entail.
We walked from the dinner to the famous carousel that you see once you enter the park. The tree is right next to it and boy is it a tall one! It was already so beautiful even without the lights on yet and I could just imagine what it was going to look like once I turn it on with everyone.
I was a bit nervous because I was told that I would have to actually lift a huge plug and insert it into an outlet and I was asking plenty of questions lol. How much does it weigh and all that because I have a bad back lol!!! I didn’t want to disappoint anyone. It all worked out in the end and here is a video of it. It was super fun! I hope I get to do it again this year!!!
