A Veterinarian That Comes To You? We Tried It.

Kristen and I are the proud owners of 3 beautiful cats. If you have any animals you know that the most stressful part of being a pet parent is taking them to the veterinarian. My cats freak out if I accidentally bump into their car carrier. We have moved across the country 5 times in the last 7 years so they are not big fans of getting put into that thing. As you can imagine, the last thing we want to do is go cat diving under the bed so that we can take them to the vet.
“We’re trying to save your life!” is what we try to tell them, but they’re cats and they don’t care.
When we came across FUZZY, an in-home veterinarian, we HAD to try it. We set up an appointment for them to come over and check out all 3 cats. Dr. Rose and her assistant arrived at the exact time they said they were going to be at my house, which I appreciate.
We let them come in and sit down for a bit so that the cats could get used to them being in the house. At that point we were able to tell the doctor all about our fur babies and their very different personalities, as well as ask a million questions. This was the first time we could actually sit down with a doctor and they weren’t in a hurry to leave the room to check on another patient.
After about 5 minutes the bravest of the 3 cats named Killer approached us and that was our cue to start with her. We picked her up and went into the bathroom so that Dr. Rose could check her heart, weight, teeth, over all health and update her vaccines. Killer tends to be a biter which is why we named her Killer, but there was nothing more than a few hisses and some growling. Before we knew it Dr. Rose was done and Killer was back roaming the house.
Calie, our second cat was the next one to be looked at. She tends to scare really easy so we had to be extra careful with her. Once she was in the bathroom the doctor had no problem checking all her vitals. In fact, she even detected a heart murmur that we never knew about. Plus, she wasn’t micro-chipped like we thought she was but Dr. Rose was able to do that right there and then. After giving us instructions about our next steps with Calie and updating her vaccines she was released back under the bed.
Gilligan was next. This 17 pound beast is nothing but sweet when you get to know him but he does not like strangers. Despite some reluctance at first, we got him into the bathroom for his exam. Dr. Rose was able to gain his trust pretty quickly and examine him. He’s chubby but healthy so the doctor was able to give us some tips on how to bring his weight down before his next exam. We were also able to micro-chip him and update his vaccinations.
It had been a long time since we were able to take our cats to the vet, mainly because it’s such a hassle to do. But Dr. Rose was able to do it all within an hour and at no time did we feel rushed or pressured. It was a pleasure to have the full attention of our vet without feeling like we forgot to ask or do anything.
Fuzzy is definitely something we are going to continue using for our cats. They even have an app that lets you ask questions about your pets or if they have a bad reaction to something, you can talk to them right away to see what steps need to be taken next.
There are 2 types of memberships available that have different benefits to them so I encourage you to look into them at www.YourFuzzy.com You can even TRY THEM FOR FREE.
