Angelina is fifteen years old and lives in the Bay Area. Her goal has always been to make a positive impact on the world and start her own fashion business. And of course, she did something incredible.
While watching a documentary on the world’s elephant crisis, Angelina was so concerned about the problem that she created an online clothing company called “Ivory Tees.”
Elephants are being pushed to the brink of extinction. Researchers estimate roughly 100 African elephants are being killed each day by poachers, for their ivory.
She explained in her Ted talk, that that’s one every 15 minutes. Angelina found that she could foster a baby elephant in need, so she decided to donate 20-percent of funds from Ivory Tees. That money goes toward fostering an elephant.
