Newest Harry Potter AR Game Launches

Remember when Pokemon Go took over the world? Everywhere you looked it seemed like you’d see a bunch of people gathered at a certain place all looking at their phones. This was Summer of 2016.

Well looks like the creators of Pokemon Go are trying to take over the world again with the latest Harry Potter game. Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, now available on iphone and android. The game was originally scheduled to launch on Friday, June 21.

The new game lets players encounter Harry Potter characters and signs of magic in the real world using augmented reality technology.

I was a huge fan of Pokemon Go when it was popular and I’m going to confess to you that I still play it every now and then. Once I heard the new Harry Potter game was available for download the first thing I did was download it. You can download it for apple here and android here.

While I am a huge Harry Potter fan, I haven’t been able to play the game quite as much as I’d like since it’s release, but I have gotten a feel for it. According to CNET, “In the game, you’re part of the Statute of Secrecy Task Force and its your duty to find magical traces of  calamity. You piece together clues to uncover the cause. When you come across evidence, your log your discoveries about the anomalies.”

Honestly, I’m not sure this game is going to take over like Pokemon Go did but I could be wrong.

Have you or your kids had the chance to play it yet?
