I am so proud to say that I was born and raised in the Bay! I have 2 teenage daughters that are both in high school. We have a Pitbull named Jada Hazel Blue and a half Chihuahua and half Dachshund named Brody that we love so very much. Being a single mother has been challenging but it has taught me a lot about myself in the process. Life’s struggles are always lessons and you must find the positive out of the grimmest situations. Being a breast cancer survivor has taught me how to smile in the face of adversity. You also need to remember to laugh and laugh often!
Music and sports continue to be a big part of my life. I guess I am what you would call a band geek. I recall walking to school with my clarinet and trombone. I have relative pitch which is a blessing AND a curse. It is hard to enjoy music when it is off-key and that goes for my own singing too, lol! I was trained in classical piano for 10 years and played trombone in a jazz, funk, and reggae band.
I love working out and lifting weights. I competed in swimming, and track and field in college. Martial arts are a huge part of my life. I used to teach Taekwondo at a school in the peninsula and am a 2nd-degree black belt. I am also a purple belt in Kenpo Karate however, boxing is still one of my favorite sports of all time. I used to watch boxing with my dad and that started when I was 3 years old. I am currently back training in jiujitsu with my boyfriend and my daughter. The kind of self-discipline, perseverance, patience, and respect it teaches is priceless.
My children and I reside in Daly City. (Yes, I shop at Serramonte haha.) We are often walking the streets of Burlingame, San Jose, Newark, and Vallejo because we have family all over the Bay. I do enjoy serving my community and giving back as much as I can. I have collaborated with The Breast Cancer Emergency Fund, The Alzheimer’s Association, SF SPCA, The Daly City Fire Department’s Operation Santa Clause, and the 2nd Harvest Food Bank too just to name a few.
When I’m not on the air, annoying my kids, or at the gym I like to ride my motorcycle. I have a Ducati Monster 696 and Kawasaki Ninja 250. Live life to the fullest and seize the moment. Don’t carry hate, fear, or past hurt in your heart because that only takes up room for the goodness you could be receiving!!
