Slow Cooker Apple Cider!

This Apple Cider is easy, delicious and also makes your home smell like apples!  It’s a potpourri and and yummy beverage all in one! LOL.  It’s a healthy and delicious treat after a long weekday, or weekend fun!

 

Ingredients
  • 8 organic gala apples, cored and quartered (try fuji, cortland, pink lady or a mix)
  • 4 sticks cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon whole cloves
  • 1 teaspoon whole allspice
  • 10 cups water
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
Instructions
  1. Place your quartered apples into a slow cooker. Add in cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, and allspice and pour in the 10 cups of water.
  2. Cook on high for 3 hours
  3. Mash the apples with a potato masher. Add in brown sugar. Cook an additional 1-3 hours on low.
  4. Strain, discard solids and pour back into the slow cooker and serve, or store liquids in an airtight container for up to 1 week or freeze for later use.
