So We Are Putting Locks On Freezers Now? Awesome.

There are so many things that make the internet a wonderful creation. The fact that you can learn how to do anything you want to learn. There is an online course, a YouTube video or a friend who can teach you how to do absolutely everything. But of course, there are things that make the internet the knife into the heart of our society. The latest thing that people are doing to get views and likes on social media is probably the most disgusting and comes with the biggest consequences.

People have been recording their friends opening tubs of ice cream at the grocery store, licking the top of the ice cream and then putting it back into the freezer. I won’t show you a video of someone doing this because I don’t want them to get any more views or likes for it.

In response to people doing this grocery stores are placing locks on the freezers so people can’t get into them. You will have to use a button to call for service if you want the new flavor on Ben & Jerry’s. Although, you can trust Ben & Jerry’s ice cream because there is a plastic seal stopping you from opening it.

The consequences for people doing this can be pretty severe if they get caught. Which, thanks to them sharing videos of themselves committing the crime, has been very easy for the police to track them down. One lady could be facing up to 20 years in prison for doing it. The charge is criminal mischief and tampering. Police are looking to make examples of people doing this so that it will deter others from doing it. A man in Texas did it so that he could quote “be famous” on the internet. He’s been in jail for the last week even though he actually purchased the ice cream afterwards.

I shouldn’t have to tell you this but… DON’T LICK THE ICE CREAM AND PUT IT BACK YOU ANIMAL!
