It’s not that unusual to see sea mammals get confused and wander where they shouldn’t be. The California High Patrol officers were trying to figure what happened after they received reports of some kind of sea animal on a lane of northbound Highway 101 near Grand Avenue. Vehicles stopped on the highway and some passengers had flashers on in order to try and prevent the animal from going into the slow lane. The sea lion appeared healthy and uninjured, It was later taken to Peninsula SPCA for examination. Thanks to the citizens who took care to make sure it was safe!
