Bay Area girls need your help

It’s no secret that I’m a huge supporter of anything that helps young girls succeed in life.

That’s why I’m so glad that I found the Scientific Adventures for Girls (SAfG)

They are a nonprofit with a goal to remove all barriers when it comes to a girl’s participation in any kind of STEM education or career. They start early, in kindergarten, to help shape the girl’s views on science, technology, engineering, and math. These are the most important skills to have going forward in today’s world, so why not try to level the playing field and get more girls excited about them?

In the last five years, SAfG’s successful after school STEM programs have reached 750 girls in K-5th grade in the Oakland/ East Bay Area. A lot of these girls come from an underserved and under-resourced background, so SAfG was desperately needed. After the programs, 80% of the girls re-enrolled in subsequent programs.

They are learning amazing skills and developing self-confidence in the process. In fact, parents reported seeing huge positive changes in their daughters.

So how can you help?

Come party with us!
