Best days to book holiday travel

The holidays are just around the corner. If you’re like me and happen to be a transplant in the Bay Area, you’re probably looking for money to try and fly home for the holidays. You probably also know those holiday flights are EXPENSIVE.

Well, if you want to save some money, book your flights now.

According to data from Triple-A from the past three years, September 24th is the best day to book to get deals on Thanksgiving flights and September 25th is the best day to book to get deals on Christmas flights.

They also found the cheapest days to fly are the Monday before Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. I booked my Christmas flight on Monday and I’m definitely looking for the best deal to try and make it home for Thanksgiving for the first time in three years.
