Fireworks over San Francisco, California.

July 4th is finally here! If you’re looking for a cool spot in the Bay Area to catch some fireworks, but don’t know where to go, here’s a short list that can help you out!

San Francisco

  • Coit Tower
    • Make the hike up early and secure a spot.
  • Treasure Island
    • It gets packed, get there early and pack a picnic.
  • Bernal Heights Park
    • It’s a big of a trek, but a fun spot to hang out with the locals. You won’t be extremely close, but it’s great if you have kids or pets, as the noise is more muffled.
  • Angel Island
    • This viewing requires a ticket purchase and includes a ferry ticket and live music.

East Bay

  • USS Hornet
    • Activities will be happening all day and you’ll be able to view fireworks from the flight deck. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for kids.
  • Bay Farm Island
    • Grab a seat at the ferry terminal in Alameda. You’ll see fireworks from the SF skyline.

South Bay/Peninsula

  • Shoreline Amphitheater
    • Watch fireworks set to music, including the score from Star Wars.
  • Foster City
    • Known as the best fireworks on the peninsula. Get there early to grab a spot. Event runs all day from 9am to 9:45pm.
