Fatal Box Truck & Bus Accident On Bay Bridge

A box truck slammed into the back of a bus on the incline of the Bay Bridge early this morning, leaving one person dead and triggering a massive traffic backup for commuters.
One of the passengers in the box truck died at the scene, two other people in the truck and three people in the Golden Gate Transit bus suffered injuries.
Four out of five people who were injured were transported to the hospital.
The crash, which happened around 4:30a.m. initially blocked three westbound lanes on the bridge. Two lanes have since reopened, but it is not clear when the third lane will reopen.
