Opera Night With Nick & Kristen

The War Memorial Opera House was glowing with bright colors and beautifully dressed people for Puccini’s Tosca. I never know what to expect each time I go to the opera and I was pleasantly surprised with Tosca. The sets and costumes are beautiful and well designed, which is a great compliment to the live orchestra playing beautiful music. As a Violist I tend to pay a lot of attention to the orchestra while the opera is happening. The music is perfectly in sync with the stage performers and it’s cool to watch the conductor and the actors work together live as everything is happening.

It seems that the KOIT listeners that came out with me also had a great time. I never thought I would be having a discussion about an Opera with someone. Who knew that Kristen and I would be attending them regularly and looking forward to each one every time opera season comes along. We talked about the beautiful voices of the actors and the wonderful story that was being told and what we thought was going to happen next.
