Last Saturday, the city of San Jose began building their very first tiny homes for the homeless.

On Instagram San Jose Mayor Liccardo said “Switching up my weekend workout this morning by ditching my bike, and instead joining colleagues and partners like Habitat for Humanity to build tiny homes for our homeless neighbors.” Check out the post below.

80 tiny homes will be built in San Jose after seeing the homeless population spike more than 40% in a year. The city is also installing plumbing for community bathrooms. Each unit has a bed and desk. You can read more on the project HERE.
