SPOILER ALERT: Babies have sharp teeth

Now that I have been a parent for a full year, I should be an expert right? How much more could there be left to learn about this whole parenting thing? That’s what I like to tell myself anyway.
Just this week I learned something that would be considered obvious. Babies have very sharp teeth. That’s something that everyone learns once that first tooth comes in right? At some point you stick your hand in their mouth and they bite down HARD. You’re shocked at how powerful their little jaws are and how much that really hurt you. I never stopped to think about just HOW sharp those little teeth are until Sunday morning.
Lilly absolutely loves playing with my glasses. Every time she sees me she reaches for them and I have to move my head to avoid her. Occasionally she’s quicker than me and she grabs them off my face. After that, they go directly into the mouth just like everything else. It’s never been a big deal and on Sunday I let her grab them again. She played with them for a second in her mouth but when she gave them back to me, something was different.
Right smack in the middle of my left eyes line of sight was a HUGE scratch. At first I thought it was just a smudge, but I soon realized that was not the case. Upon further inspection there were also several tiny scratches in the corner of that same lens. Her tiny little teeth cut through glass that has survived 5 years of use. I didn’t have a single scratch on my glasses all these years, and now there is a CRATER.
I thought that it wouldn’t bother me but it’s all I see! It never goes away, my brain can’t figure out a way to block it out. I’m stuck. I have no other option than to go and get new lens or new glasses entirely. So the question is, do I take the money out of her college fund?
