Student Who Walked 20 Miles…

By Hope Bidegainberry on July 19, 2018

A college student who was walking 20 miles in the dark to get to his new job has been given a gift he won’t forget for a long time.

After his car broke down, this student started walking through the suburbs of Alabama at midnight in order to arrive at his job by 8am.

Police picked him up off the streets around 4am, learned about his story, and treated him to some breakfast and coffee.

They then dropped him off at his job where his customer learned about his story and started a GoFundMe page in order to raise money to fix his car.

She wasn’t the only one to learn about his story, the CEO of the company heard of the story and drove from Tennessee to Alabama over the weekend to meet this impressive employee and to give him a special gift.

The CEO handed over the keys to his own car so that the student wouldn’t have to walk to work and the GoFundMe page raised over $32,000 which they will help save and manage these funds.
