We Visited Candytopia!

A few weeks ago, I told you about this brand new museum in San Francisco that’s ultimately Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory in real life! You can read more about Candytopia here.
Well yesterday, my best friend and I were lucky enough to go explore Candytopia!
Candytopia is fun for all ages. We saw babies, toddlers, teens, and adults and they were all wandering around with smiles on their faces.
From the moment you walk in, you’re taken into a candy wonderland. I highly suggest going with a fully charged cell phone. As soon as you walk in you’ll want to start taking photos and videos.
You’re taken from room to room. Much like time, you only move forward in Candytopia. You should never go back to a room so grab all the pictures you want in the rooms before leaving. Plus in each room there are free samples of candy! From Crunch Bars to Airheads!
They also have several photo stations. You’ll visit a site and grab a QR code. Scan the QR code at the photo stations then they’ll email these select photos to you.
They have a rainbow tunnel, an “art gallery,” some optical illusions, and A MARSHMALLOW PIT!
A few warnings about the marshmallow pit:
- You can’t wear shoes in it, so wear long socks or no socks. (I lost my ankle socks in there. If you find some pink skull socks in there…email me, haha!)
- There’s a limit of 25 people in the pit at one time, so you may have to wait your turn to get your photo.
- DON’T take your phone in the pit. I witnessed a woman lose her phone in there the second she got inside. I helped her look for it, but there was no luck. I felt horrible for her. All she wanted was to get a cute picture of her baby in the pit. :/ They have cubby holes to secure your items. Take advantage of that.

I highly suggest visiting Candytopia before it’s over in November! Share your photos with us! 🙂
