Saturday:

San Jose Lunar New Year Celebration: This FREE event will be held at Eastridge Mall in San Jose. Come experience live entertainment, free parking, lion and dragon dancing, carnival rides, food and a live DJ. It runs from 11am-11pm all weekend long.

The Cupid’s Undie Run: Run a mile in your underpants and raise money for the Children’s Tumor Foundation . The run will start at noon and there will be a lot of post-run festivities and awards. If you want to race, it’s $40 registration fee but it’s FREE to watch.

Sunday:

Year of the Dog Celebration: Grab your dog and celebrate the year of the dog at Brannan Street Wharf Park in San Francisco. This FREE event is from 10am to noon. There will be a walk right at 10a, a group photo and afterward, a celebratory toast.

“It’s Peanut Butter Jelly Time” Parade: This FREE event will be from noon to 5:30 at 101 6th Street San Francisco. Grab your banana costumes and help the homeless while handing out peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. The goal is to give away 2,000 sandwiches and 1,000 pairs of socks.
