Saturday:
Hidden Piano Extravaganza: Check out over a dozen pianos in the Botanical Garden in Golden Gate Park. Flower Piano is free to SF residents with ID, and only $9 (the regular Garden entry fee) for anyone else. The pianos will only be there until July 16th, with performances by brilliant local musicians scheduled this weekend.
40th Street Summer Block Party: This FREE event will run from 11am to 5pm and feature; live music, local food, beer and wine, and tons of activities for the kids.
Anime & Cosplay Festival: This FREE event runs from 11am to 4pm at the Japantown Peace Plaza. You can dress up as your favorite character or just go and enjoy the culture. Take advantage of the live stage shows and local restaurants around the area.
Sunday:
The WORLD CUP! There are tons of screenings of the final game today. EAST BAY: at 8am watch the live broadcast outdoors at BAMPFA, 2155 Center St, Berkeley (Outdoor Screen at Addison & Oxford. Bring a lawn chair or blanket; morning refreshments available. Plan to get there early for good seats. SF: This outdoor screening will be held at the Civic Center Plaza in San Francisco. Game starts at 8am. There will besoccer activities for kids, a mobile rock climbing wall, and food trucks.
