Wheel Of Fortune Auditions Coming To North Bay!

By 965koit on September 11, 2019

It was several years ago in Terre Haute, Indiana that Kristen and I decided to give it a shot. We found out that the Wheel of Fortune bus, AKA the Wheelmobile, was coming to our town and we knew we had to try. After all, we could guess the answer to every puzzle before everyone else, so why wouldn’t we chase our dreams?

The process is pretty simple, you go down and fill out a form and then you wait. They have 3 rounds of people that are designated by different colored wristbands. With each group they call people by name to come to the stage and pretend to play Wheel of Fortune. They judge you on energy, clarity and overall pleasantness. Plus, it helps if you know how the game works.

With so many people showing up to try out, not everyone gets to go on stage and play. It’s all luck of the draw, literally. The names are chosen at random and each group has a set amount of time before they move onto the next color group. When we went I didn’t get called up to the stage but Kristen did. She went up there in front of everyone and charmed the room with her personality. She even got a couple letters right when she took her guesses. However, she wasn’t chosen to go on to the next round. (That’s Kristen in the red!)

Neither of us got to live our dreams of being on Wheel Of Fortune but we did have a lot of fun. It’s just a cool experience to have and say that you did, plus you never know right? We did get some cool WOF swag like pens and a tote bag just for showing up. So if you have a couple hours to burn and a dream to chase, we suggest at least going down and checking it out.

The Wheelmobile will be at the Graton Resort & Casino in Rohnert Park Friday September 20th from 6-10pm and Saturday Sept 21st from 2-6pm. You have to be over 21 to audition. There is no need to line up, everyone that shows up gets an application.

You can find more specifics on ABC 7’s website, inlcuding start times and eligibility requirements.
