Saturday:

Bay Area Book Festival: Independent Bookstore Day is this Saturday and over 400 bookstores nationwide will be participating. Every store has something different planned. Some stores will have exclusive art and books available, while others have live music, food, kid events, contests and author visits. It’s FREE to attend and great for kids!

The Butter & Egg Days Parade & Festival: This FREE Petaluma event celebrates one of the premier dairy regions in the country with a parade. The event runs from 10a-5p with a parade at noon, but don’t forget to check out the many vendors and food available.

Oakland Dance Festival: This FREE event will take place in Jack London Square and will feature a variety of different dancers and performances. This is being held in addition to Bay Area Dance Week.

Sunday:

20th Annual Glen Park Festival & Street Fair: This FREE event takes place in Glen Park from 10a-4:30p. There will be live music, local artists, and vendors, on Diamond Street between Bosworth and Chenery streets, as well as extending down Wilder Street.
