California Public Utilities Commission unanimously voted yes to an increase that raises the average bill by $3.50 a month over 12 months. This is supposed to help with the costs of the wild fires over the last few years. PG&E has also filed for bankruptcy and is said to also be seeking about $22 a month in rate increases for wildfire safety and to attract investors.
