PG&E has begun restoring power in parts of the Bay Area. By 6am this morning approximately 126,000 customers had their electricity turned back on. While that still leaves 600,000 customers without power the restoration process has begun. “All clears” have been declared in San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Santa Cruz counties. PG&E will begin inspections and assessment of equipment and/or power lines in the fire danger zones. Officials say once an area has been given the all-clear, it can take up to 24 to 48 hours to restore power. They hope to have electricity restored to most customers by this weekend.
