Protecting and Caring for Animals Since 1952, the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA is San Mateo County’s largest and most celebrated animal welfare organization. We are a completely independent, donor-funded organization with an open door policy: that means we take in any animal that comes through our doors. We also find homes for 100% of our healthy adoptable animals.
Programs include supportive care for stray and unwanted domestic animals prior to adoption, wildlife rehabilitation (from San Francisco through northern Santa Clara County), humane education, advocacy, community outreach, and animal rescue and cruelty investigations.
Generous gifts of time, resources and funds help us treat, then find homes for more animals. To learn more, visit www.PHS-SPCA.org or visit us at our Tom and Annette Lantos Center for Compassion to check out our adoptable animals.
